Nilimella four-star campsite is located by the beautiful River Kitinen in Sodankylä town centre, close to the crossing of Highways 4 and 5. We welcome you to stop and stay for as long as you like: to relax and have a fun holiday with your family. Nilimella is renowned for its beautiful surroundings and excellent services in the middle of Lapland!

Nilimella, the northernmost four-star camping area in Finland, has 15 apartments with sauna, four premium apartments by the river, 19 cottages, and pitches for 80 campervans and mobile homes, 20 of which with lawn and 60 with an electricity outlet, a large grass area for tents, a reception-kiosk, a riverside restaurant (with a licence to sell mild alcoholic beverages), a bathing beach with beach huts, and a number of activities. There is also an indoor and an outdoor play area for children. The town centre and its services are less than a kilometre away. Our reception is open from 1 June to 31 September.
Services
Our campsite has a chemical toilet and waste water disposal point, and an outlet for drinking water. You can also book a sauna from our reception to relax after a long day on the road. Both drinks and meals are served at the popular Piitsi Pub located by the river. There is an indoor and an outdoor play area for children to ensure that there is something to do, even on rainy days.
Facilities
Our reception is located by the entrance gate. Check in and enjoy a cup of coffee or a refreshing ice cream on our terrace or use our free Wi-Fi. There are two service buildings for guests. The main service building has two kitchens, a chemical toilet disposal point, toilets, showers and an accessible toilet with a shower. The second service building is intended for guests staying in our camping cabins, and hosts toilets, showers and a bookable sauna. Our laundry is available for all our visitors: there are two coin-operated washing machines, a spin dryer and a drying cabinet.
