Nilimella’s campsite is located just outside the center of Sodankylä, close to all services and at the crossroads of main roads. Here, you can enjoy the peace of nature along the Kitinen River without the hustle and bustle of a large tourist resorts. Our campsite is easily accessible by car or public transport, making it a perfect base for day trips around the area and across Lapland, with the comfort of returning to us in the evening.

At Nilimella’s four-star campsite, you will find both tent sites and caravan pitches. Our tent sites are located on a spacious green field, offering sunny and shaded spots. The caravan site has a total of 80 caravan pitches, 20 of which are grassed and 60 equipped with electricity. All accommodation options are situated in a peaceful and beautiful location close to nature, just a short distance from the centre of Sodankylä.

Yes you can! At Nilimella’s campsite, an SFC or Camping Key card discount is available on the standard fee for our caravan site.

Guests with a tent or caravan site at Nilimella’s campsite have full access to the service building, which includes a kitchen, paid laundry facilities, and toilets and showers, including an accessible shower. You can satisfy your hunger at Nilimella’s own riverside restaurant, Piitsi Pub, with a selection of finger foods. Caravan guests can also book our sauna for private use, and evenings can be spent around the campfire roasting sausages. Campfire area is also available for tent campers. Additionally, the campsite offers a swimming beach with changing rooms and beach volleyball courts.
